The 20^th century is considered the beginning of the travel business in the place, called Alston. Now it is the capital of the Gold Coast. In 1925, businessman Jim Cavill built the first hotel here. The name "Gold Coast" was first used in the Brisbane newspaper in the late 1940s, and had in mind the prices on property. In the 21^th century, it is very popular destination for various people. All hotels of Gold Coast are used to see a big number of the guests every year.
